Acceptable use
The rules for using Reviewit, a product of Try Reviewit Ltd, fairly and honestly.
What is not allowed
When you use Reviewit you must not:
- Post fake or incentivised reviews, or reviews that do not reflect a genuine experience, whether written by you or by someone acting for you.
- Manipulate reviews or ratings, for example by buying, selling, trading or coordinating reviews, or by using bots or fake accounts to inflate or bury feedback.
- Impersonate another person or business, or misrepresent your connection to the product or business being reviewed.
- Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, hateful, obscene or that infringes the rights of others, or that reveals personal data without a lawful basis.
- Scrape, harvest or abuse the service or our API, or use it in a way that places an unreasonable load on our systems.
- Attempt to break, bypass or probe our security, or to defeat the systems that verify purchases and reviews.
- Send spam or unsolicited messages, or use the service to distribute malware or harmful code.
For merchants
Merchants must not solicit fake or incentivised reviews, offer rewards in exchange for positive reviews, selectively suppress honest reviews, or misuse the reply and flagging tools to silence genuine feedback. A merchant may reply to a review and may flag a review that appears to break these rules for us to assess against our published criteria.
Consequences of breaking these rules
Where content or behaviour breaks this policy, we may remove the content, limit features, suspend or close the account, and report serious or unlawful activity to the relevant authorities. We apply these steps in proportion to the breach, and moderation decisions can be appealed.
Reporting a problem
If you see content or behaviour that breaks this policy, please report it through the support centre or by email at support@tryreviewit.com.
