Terms
The terms for using Reviewit, a product of Try Reviewit Ltd.
Acceptance of these terms
These terms and conditions are a contract between you and Try Reviewit Ltd (registered in England and Wales, company no. 17347137, registered office Unit 3, Twenty4 Secure Storage, Leeds, LS12 4HP, United Kingdom). By creating an account or using Reviewit in any way, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. If you use Reviewit on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for that business.
Definitions
- Reviewit means the review and reputation service provided at tryreviewit.com and any connected apps and widgets.
- Merchant means a business that uses Reviewit to collect, manage and display reviews of its products or services.
- Reviewer means a person who writes or reads reviews on Reviewit.
- Verified purchase means a review that we have matched to a real, fulfilled order.
- You means the reviewer or merchant using the service; we and us mean Try Reviewit Ltd.
The service
Reviewit lets reviewers write honest reviews and lets merchants collect, verify and display reviews of their products and services across their store and other surfaces. We may add, change or remove features from time to time to improve the service. We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error free.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use Reviewit. When you create an account you must give accurate and complete information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think your account has been used without your permission.
Reviews and conduct
Reviews are the heart of Reviewit and they must be honest. When you post a review you agree that:
- It reflects your own genuine experience with the product, service or business.
- It is not fake, incentivised or bought, and you have not been paid or rewarded to leave it.
- It does not impersonate anyone, and it does not contain unlawful, abusive or misleading content.
Where possible we verify reviews against real, fulfilled orders and label them accordingly. Our moderation criteria are public. We never quietly delete a genuine review, and a store cannot pay to hide honest feedback. We may remove a review only where it breaks our published rules, and such decisions can be appealed. A merchant may reply to reviews and may flag reviews that appear to break the rules for us to assess.
Merchant plans and billing
Reviewit offers flat monthly plans and a genuine free tier. New paid plans include a 14-day free trial. Paid plans are billed in advance by card through Stripe. Our prices are the same on every platform. You can change or cancel your plan at any time. If you cancel, your plan continues until the end of the period you have paid for and is not renewed. We do not refund the current period on cancellation unless the law requires it. We will give reasonable notice of any change to our prices.
Acceptable use
Your use of Reviewit must comply with our acceptable use policy, which forms part of these terms. Please read the acceptable use policy.
Intellectual property
Reviewit, its software, design, logos and content are owned by Try Reviewit Ltd or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service in line with these terms. You keep ownership of the content you submit, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute and promote your reviews as part of running the service.
Third-party stores and services
Reviewit connects with third-party platforms such as WooCommerce, Shopify and Stripe. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. If you connect a store, you confirm that you have the right to do so and to share the order data needed to verify reviews.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of goodwill, and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in that period.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against reasonable losses, damages and costs we suffer arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or content you submit that infringes the rights of others or breaks the law.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Reviewit and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or to protect the service and its users. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will give you notice. Terms that by their nature should survive termination, such as those on intellectual property, liability and indemnity, will continue to apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make a material change we will update the date and, where appropriate, tell you directly. If you continue to use Reviewit after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live.
