FAQ

Questions, answered honestly

Everything shoppers and businesses ask about verified reviews, fair ratings and how Reviewit works. If you cannot find it here, the team is one email away.

For shoppers

Reading and writing reviews is always free, with no account required to read.

Is Reviewit free for shoppers?
Yes, always. Reading reviews and keeping a reviewer account is free forever, with no card and no catch. You only ever pay if you are a business collecting reviews.
How do I write a review?
Find the store you bought from, choose your rating and tell us what happened. It takes about a minute. If you were invited by email after an order, your review is matched to that purchase and marked verified automatically.
What is the difference between the verified rating and the public rating?
The verified rating is built only from reviews we could tie to a real, fulfilled order. The public rating includes every genuine review, verified or not. We show both, side by side, and never blend them into one misleading number.
Can I edit or remove my own review?
Yes. It is your review, so you can update it if your experience changes, or ask us to remove it. What a business cannot do is delete your honest review because it did not like the score.
What happens if I leave a low rating?
Your review is published like any other. On a low rating the business is also given a chance to reach out and put things right first, through the resolution step, but that never blocks, edits or hides what you wrote.

For businesses

Collect verified reviews on any storefront and show them everywhere that matters.

How do I collect reviews?
Reviewit sends automatic review invitations after an order is fulfilled, so requests go to real customers at the right moment. You can also import existing reviews by CSV and share a direct review link anywhere.
Which platforms does Reviewit work with?
Shopify, WooCommerce and any storefront. Install the Shopify app or the WordPress plugin, or use the universal widget and review link on any site. Verified reviews are never locked to a single platform.
Where do the reviews appear?
On your storefront through the widgets, on your public Reviewit profile, and as structured data that Google and AI assistants can read. One set of reviews, shown in every place a customer might be deciding.
Can I reply to reviews?
Yes. You can reply publicly to any review to thank a customer or explain how you have resolved an issue. A thoughtful reply is often more persuasive than a perfect score.

Trust and verification

Honesty is the product. These are the rules we hold ourselves to, in public.

Is every review verified?
No, and we say so plainly. Reviews matched to a real order are marked verified. Invited reviews that we could not match to an order are still shown, but clearly labelled, so nothing is disguised.
Can a business delete a negative review?
No. A business can reply to a review and put things right, but it cannot delete a genuine one. Moderation is neutral and run by us, only for spam, abuse or content that breaks the law.
Can a business pay to hide or bury reviews?
Never. Paying changes your features, not your score. We do not remove genuine reviews, reorder them to hide criticism or boost ratings for money, and we state that publicly. Your rating is computed from real reviews.
How does verification actually work?
A verified purchase is tied to a real, fulfilled order in the connected store. It cannot be faked, and the proof travels with the review wherever it is shown, so anyone can trust the label.
Does Reviewit help me get found by Google and AI?
Yes. Reviews are published as structured, machine-readable data, so your reputation can earn rich results in Google and be quoted accurately in AI answers, rather than being trapped inside one closed platform.

Pricing and billing

Flat plans, a real free tier, and never a cut of your sales.

Is there really a free plan?
Yes. Free is free forever. You can collect reviews, import by CSV and show the core widgets at no cost. There is no trial clock and no card required to start.
Why flat pricing instead of charging per order?
Because a charge that grows with every order you collect punishes you for succeeding. A flat monthly plan is predictable, and your bill does not balloon as your store grows.
Is there a trial, and can I cancel any time?
Paid plans start with a free trial, and you can upgrade, downgrade or cancel whenever you like. Changes apply straight away, there is no lock-in, and you keep your reviews.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Reviewit is operated by Try Reviewit Ltd in the United Kingdom. We collect only what we need, never sell your data, and reviewer details are kept private. See the privacy policy for the full detail.
